Brilliant Ocean Show Band
Our Goal
The Brilliant Ocean show band has one overarching goal: to develop students’ confidence and self-esteem through the development of their musical skills. We believe that music is more than notes and rhythms. It’s an extension of the musician’s self, and as their musical abilities are developed, so are their social skills, work ethic, sense of self, and so much more, on top of their abilities on their instrument.
Our Teaching
Our show band mentors will run social activities, play rhythm recognition games, work in both sectionals and full ensemble to foster a shared vision of achieving personal development through musical development. We don’t just care about producing high-quality performances and high-skill players; we care about giving our students an experience that they can take something away from and carry it with them forever.
Our Promise
In this program your student will be able to explore new music and self-expression through music with the constant support of their college mentors. Students will have the opportunity to learn more about their instrument with their mentor and play along with them.
